Visiting the Island in your own boat is only a 15 nautical mile trip from Cairns offering a safe passage along the scenic coastline. There are several public moorings and a secure anchorage, with good holding, at Welcome Bay - Lat 16 deg 55.5S Long 145 deg 59.3E.
